5 Money Mindset Blocks That Keep You Broke (And How to Break Free)

Hey beautiful! ๐Ÿ’•

Can we have some real talk for a minute? Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and your financial goals isn't your income or your expenses - it's what's happening between your ears.

I've been there. I used to have SO many limiting beliefs about money that kept me stuck in the same patterns, wondering why I could never get ahead. Today I'm sharing the 5 biggest mindset blocks I see (and had myself!) plus how to break free from them.

Block #1: "I Don't Make Enough to Save"

This was my biggest excuse for YEARS. But here's the truth: it's not about how much you make, it's about creating the habit. Even saving $1 a day builds the saving muscle. Once you prove to yourself that you CAN save, you'll find ways to save more.

The fix: Start ridiculously small. Save loose change, save $5 a week, save whatever feels easy. The amount doesn't matter - the habit does.

Block #2: "I'm Bad with Money"

Stop it right there! You're not "bad with money" - you just haven't learned the skills yet. Money management isn't taught in school, so of course you're figuring it out as you go!

The fix: Reframe this as "I'm learning about money." Every mistake is data, not proof that you're hopeless.

Block #3: "I Deserve to Treat Myself"

Yes, you absolutely deserve nice things! But when "treating yourself" becomes the reason you can't save, it's time to redefine what treating yourself means. What if treating yourself meant having $1,000 in the bank? Or being debt-free?

The fix: Make saving the treat. Celebrate hitting savings milestones the same way you'd celebrate a shopping haul.

Block #4: "Rich People Are Greedy/Bad"

If you secretly believe that having money makes you a bad person, your subconscious will sabotage your efforts to build wealth. But money is just a tool - it amplifies who you already are.

The fix: Think about all the good you could do with financial security. Money gives you options to help others and live your values.

Block #5: "It's Too Late to Start"

Whether you're 25 or 55, this is a lie your brain tells you to keep you comfortable with the status quo. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

The fix: Focus on progress, not perfection. Every day you don't start is another day further from your goals.

Your Money Mindset Makeover Starts Now

Here's your homework: Pick ONE of these blocks that resonated with you and work on shifting that belief this week. Notice when the old thought comes up, and consciously replace it with the new one.

Remember, your relationship with money is just that - a relationship. And like any relationship, it can be healed, improved, and transformed with intention and practice.

You're not broken, babe. You're just ready to level up! ๐Ÿ’ฐโœจ

XOXO,
Eve
